On July 4, the first group of students completed their courses in the “dual training” program held by KraussMaffei in cooperation with the Jiaxing Technician Institute and began the practicum of the program.

As a school-industry partnership, the “dual training” program originated from Germany is the main form of vocational and technical education in Germany. It cultivates highly skilled talents by combining a theory-based classroom curriculum with practical onsite work experience, providing an important guarantee that the practice and traditions of German craftsmanship are passed to future generations.

The cooperation program between KraussMaffei and the Jiaxing Technician Institute, known as the “China-German (AHK) Dual Vocational Education for Mechatronics,” is based on the needs of local businesses in Jiaxing for new talents. By integrating the teaching curriculum" of both countries, the program cultivates highly skilled, internationalized, inter-disciplinary graduates. This quality program is in accordance with the vocational qualification standard of the German AHK (i.e., the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad) in the discipline of mechatronics. In addition to classroom education, KraussMaffei provides students with practical work opportunities. KraussMaffei employees are also engaged in the classroom by teaching specialized courses for students, providing required knowledge for the workplace.
