On October 11, Aeolus’ radial engineering giant tyre 59/80R63 successfully rolled off the production line at Aeolus’ Jiaozuo manufacturing base, marking an important step for Aeolus to “become a global leader in the ‘quality’ of industrial tyres”.

This giant OTR tyre is independently developed and produced by Aeolus, with a diameter of over four meters, equivalent to the length of a family car; the weight is nearly six tons, equivalent to that of three family cars, mainly used for giant mining dump trucks weighing about 400 tons.

Embracing leading tyre R&D technologies including finite element simulation technology, low heat generation formulation design and belted layer structure, proprietary heat dissipation design and equilibrium curing, etc., this product achieves excellent performance in low heat generation, high mileage, robust wear resistance and cutting resistance, etc. Since the establishment of this project, the R&D team has overcome more than 30 technical problems and obtained more than 20 patents and proprietary technologies.

The successful rollout of this giant OTR tyre 59/80R63 marks an important achievement of Aeolus building forging new competitive edge and strategic growth enabler, which represents another significant breakthrough of “Made in China” in providing high-quality products and services to global major mining tyre clients.
