On Dec.?4, a delegation led by Tobias F. Svenningsen, Consul General of Norway in Shanghai, visited Elkem Silicones Xinghuo in Jiangxi?Province. During the visit, they gained insights into the development of the silicone industry and Elkem's integration into the global industrial chain.

The delegation visited the product application exhibition hall, the intelligent production control center, the Phoenix Project, the intelligent filling workshop, the special sealant workshop, and?the?AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) unmanned forklift warehouse at the Science and Technology Innovation Park of Elkem Silicones Xinghuo. They explored?Elkem's innovative achievements?in product application and its use of digital technology to improve safety, environmental protection, production and operations.

Svenningsen praised Elkem Silicones Xinghuo for its wide range of products and smart manufacturing techniques. He highlighted the important role of the silicone industry in Jiangxi's economic growth and recognized Elkem Silicones Xinghuo's efforts in promoting?cooperation between China and Norway.?As this year marks the 70th anniversary of?the establishment of?diplomatic relations between China and Norway, Svenningsen expressed his hope for Elkem to make the most of Elkem Silicones Xinghuo and Elkem's global factories, strengthen cooperation, achieve mutual benefit?and win-win results, and drive the green transformation of the silicone industry. He also encouraged Elkem to play a more active role in accelerating exchanges and cooperation between industries in China and Norway.
